What is Tagwise?

Tagwise is a Telegram bot that gives you a direct edge on Polymarket — the world's largest prediction market. It monitors top traders in real time, sends you instant alerts when they make moves, and lets you copy their trades with one tap.

Whether you're tracking political markets, sports events, crypto predictions, or tech outcomes, Tagwise surfaces the smartest money so you can trade with conviction.

How It Works

Tagwise runs three services behind the scenes to keep you ahead of the market:

  • Bot Service — handles all your Telegram interactions: commands, menus, alerts, and copy trading.
  • Worker Service — polls tracked wallets for new trades every 30 seconds, then pushes real-time alerts to your chat.
  • Leaderboard Service — refreshes top trader rankings every 6 hours across all categories and time periods.

You interact with everything through Telegram — no extra apps, no browser extensions, no dashboards to check.

Key Features

Quick Start

Open Tagwise on Telegram

Search for @TagwiseBot on Telegram or go directly to t.me/TagwiseBot. Tap Start to create your account.

Track a wallet or pick from the leaderboard

Use /track to follow a specific wallet address, or browse /toptraders to find proven traders.

Get alerts and copy trades

When a tracked wallet trades, you'll get an instant alert with all the details. Enable copy trading to automatically mirror their positions.

Free to start
Tagwise's free tier includes 3 custom wallet tracks, 5 leaderboard traders, copy trading, and basic trade alerts. Upgrade to PRO for advanced features like multi-buy alerts and confidence scoring.

Non-Custodial Design

Tagwise is built with a non-custodial architecture. This means the bot never holds or controls your funds directly. When you create a trading wallet through Tagwise, the private key is encrypted and stored securely — it's never accessible in plaintext to anyone, including the Tagwise team.

All trades are executed on-chain through the Polymarket Builder API, meaning every transaction is verifiable and transparent on the blockchain.

Wallet Encryption

Trading wallets created through Tagwise are encrypted using Fernet symmetric encryption (AES-128-CBC with HMAC-SHA256). Here's how it works:

  • Key Generation — when you create a trading wallet, a new Ethereum-compatible keypair is generated.
  • Encryption at Rest — the private key is immediately encrypted using Fernet before being stored.
  • Decryption on Demand — the key is only decrypted momentarily when a trade needs to be signed, then discarded from memory.
Important
Your trading wallet is separate from your personal Polymarket account. Only deposit the amount you want to use for copy trading. Never deposit more than you're comfortable risking.

Data Privacy

Tagwise stores the minimum data needed to operate:

  • Telegram user ID — to route alerts and manage your account.
  • Tracked wallet addresses — public on-chain addresses (not private keys of wallets you track).
  • Trading wallet — encrypted keypair for copy trading (only if you create one).
  • Subscription status — to manage free/PRO tier access.

Tagwise does not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal information beyond your Telegram user ID.

Payment Security

All payments are processed through Paymento, a third-party crypto payment processor. Tagwise never handles payment data directly. Paymento supports various cryptocurrencies and handles all transaction verification.

When you subscribe to PRO, Paymento generates a payment address, you send crypto, and once confirmed on-chain, your PRO status is activated automatically.

Tip
You can check your subscription status anytime with the /account command. It shows your current plan, expiry date, and wallet limits.

Find the Bot

Tagwise lives entirely inside Telegram. To get started:

Open Telegram

Use the Telegram app on your phone or desktop. Tagwise works on both.

Search for @TagwiseBot

In the Telegram search bar, type @TagwiseBot and select the bot from the results. You can also go directly to t.me/TagwiseBot.

Tap Start

Press the Start button or type /start. This creates your Tagwise account and opens the main menu.

Account Creation

When you first interact with Tagwise, your account is created automatically using your Telegram user ID. There's no signup form, no email required, no password to remember.

Your account starts on the Free tier which includes:

  • Track up to 3 custom wallets
  • Follow up to 5 leaderboard traders
  • Copy trading functionality
  • Basic trade alerts for tracked wallets

Main Dashboard

After starting the bot, use /dashboard to access the main menu. From here you can:

  • Browse the leaderboard
  • Manage tracked wallets
  • View your trading wallet
  • Check account status and subscription
  • Access copy trading settings
Navigation Tip
You can always type /help to see a full list of available commands, or /dashboard to return to the main menu.

Step by Step

Here's the complete flow from opening the bot to executing your first copy trade:

Browse the Leaderboard

Type /toptraders to open the leaderboard. Select a category (e.g., Politics, Crypto) and a time period (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or All-Time). You'll see a ranked list of the top-performing wallets with key stats.

Track a Top Trader

Tap on a trader from the leaderboard to view their full stats — PnL, ROI, win rate, and recent trades. Hit the Track button to start following their wallet. You'll now receive alerts whenever they make a trade.

Create Your Trading Wallet

Use /wallet to create your on-chain trading wallet. Tagwise will generate a new wallet and show you the address. Send USDC to this address — this is the balance you'll trade with.

Wait for an Alert

When a tracked wallet makes a trade, you'll receive an instant Telegram notification with the market name, the side they're buying (Yes/No), the amount, and the current price.

Copy the Trade

Each alert includes a Copy Trade button. Tap it to mirror the exact position. Or, enable auto copy with /copy to have all trades from a specific wallet copied automatically at your chosen position size.

Risk Warning
Copy trading involves risk. Past performance of tracked wallets does not guarantee future results. Only trade with funds you can afford to lose. Start with small position sizes to get familiar with how copy trading works.

Understanding Alerts

Trade alerts include the following information:

  • Wallet — the tracked wallet that made the trade (with a short address label).
  • Market — the Polymarket event being traded (e.g., "Will Bitcoin hit $100k by March 2026?").
  • Side — whether they bought Yes or No.
  • Amount — the USDC value of their position.
  • Price — the entry price (e.g., $0.67 per share).
  • Action buttons — Copy Trade, View Wallet Stats, Untrack.

Auto vs. Manual Copy

Tagwise supports two copy trading modes:

Mode How It Works Best For
Manual Copy Get an alert → tap "Copy Trade" → confirm Selective traders who want to review each trade
Auto Copy Trades are mirrored automatically at your set position size Hands-off traders who trust a wallet's strategy

Tracking by Address

You can track any public Polymarket wallet using its on-chain address. Use the /track command followed by the wallet address:

/track 0x1234...abcd

Once tracked, Tagwise's worker service polls the wallet every 30 seconds for new activity. When a trade is detected, you receive an instant Telegram alert.

Tracking from the Leaderboard

The easier way to find wallets worth tracking is through the leaderboard. Use /toptraders, browse by category and time period, and tap Track on any wallet you like. The address is handled for you automatically.

Managing Tracked Wallets

View all your currently tracked wallets with:

/wallets

This shows each tracked wallet with a label (auto-generated from the address), its last activity, and quick action buttons.

To stop tracking a wallet:

/untrack 0x1234...abcd

Tracking Limits

Tier Custom Wallets Leaderboard Traders
Free 3 5
PRO 100 50
Tip
Custom wallets are ones you track manually by address. Leaderboard traders are tracked directly from the /toptraders interface. They count toward separate limits.

Browsing the Leaderboard

The leaderboard is your gateway to finding proven traders. Access it with:

/toptraders

You'll see an interactive menu where you can filter by category and time period. The leaderboard data is refreshed every 6 hours to ensure rankings reflect current performance.

Categories

Traders are ranked within the categories that match Polymarket's major market types:

  • Politics — elections, policy, governance markets
  • Sports — game outcomes, championships, player performance
  • Crypto — token prices, protocol events, DeFi predictions
  • Tech — product launches, company milestones, AI benchmarks
  • Culture — entertainment, media, cultural events
  • Finance — rates, indices, economic indicators

Time Periods

Each category can be filtered by time period to surface different trading styles:

Period Shows Best For
Daily Top performers in the last 24h Finding hot hands and momentum traders
Weekly Top performers in the last 7 days Balanced between recency and consistency
Monthly Top performers in the last 30 days Identifying sustained edge
All-Time Best lifetime performance Finding long-term proven traders

Stats Shown

For each trader on the leaderboard, you'll see:

  • PnL — total profit and loss in USDC
  • ROI — return on investment as a percentage
  • Win Rate — percentage of trades that were profitable
  • Volume — total trading volume in USDC
  • Number of Trades — total trades in the period
PRO Feature
PRO users get access to advanced leaderboard filters — filter by minimum PnL, minimum win rate, or minimum number of trades to narrow down the very best.

Creating a Trading Wallet

Before you can copy trade, you need to create an on-chain trading wallet. This is a dedicated wallet managed by Tagwise for executing trades on your behalf.

/wallet

This generates a new Ethereum-compatible wallet, encrypts the private key with Fernet encryption, and displays your wallet address. Send USDC to this address to fund your trading balance.

Only deposit what you're willing to risk
Your trading wallet is separate from your personal wallets. Only send the amount you intend to use for copy trading. All trades carry risk.

How Copy Trading Works

When you copy a trade, here's what happens under the hood:

  1. Tagwise detects a new trade from a tracked wallet.
  2. If auto-copy is enabled for that wallet, the bot prepares an identical order.
  3. The order is submitted through the Polymarket Builder API, which handles on-chain execution.
  4. Your trading wallet's private key is decrypted momentarily to sign the transaction, then immediately discarded from memory.
  5. You receive a confirmation alert with the trade details and your updated balance.

Setting Position Sizes

You control how much to allocate per copied trade. Use the /copy command to configure:

  • Fixed amount — set a flat USDC amount per trade (e.g., $10 per copy).
  • Proportional — mirror the same percentage of your balance as the trader uses.
/copy 0x1234...abcd 10

This enables auto-copy on the specified wallet with a $10 position size per trade.

Related Commands

Command Description
/wallet View or create your trading wallet
/copy Enable/configure auto-copy for a wallet
/wallets List all tracked wallets with copy trading status

Viewing Wallet Stats

Get a comprehensive performance breakdown for any wallet using the /stats command:

/stats 0x1234...abcd

This shows a detailed analytics view including all key performance metrics.

Metrics Explained

Metric Description
PnL Total profit and loss in USDC across all resolved positions
ROI Return on investment — PnL divided by total capital deployed
Win Rate Percentage of positions that resolved profitably
Volume Total USDC value of all trades executed
Open Positions Current active positions with market name, side, size, and entry price

Open Positions

The stats view includes a list of the wallet's currently open positions. For each position, you'll see:

  • The market name (e.g., "Will ETH hit $5k by July 2026?")
  • The side — Yes or No
  • The position size in USDC
  • The entry price per share
  • The current price and unrealized PnL
Tip
Use wallet analytics to vet traders before enabling auto-copy. A high PnL with a low win rate might indicate a high-risk strategy with large bets.

What Are Multi-Buy Alerts?

Multi-buy alerts fire when multiple tracked wallets buy the same side of the same market within a short time window. This is one of the most powerful signals Tagwise offers — when several independent top traders converge on the same position, it often indicates strong conviction.

How Detection Works

Tagwise's worker service continuously monitors all tracked wallets. When it detects that two or more wallets have taken the same side on a market, it triggers a multi-buy alert. The alert includes:

  • Market name — which event they're trading
  • Side — Yes or No
  • Number of wallets — how many tracked wallets are on the same side
  • Wallet list — which specific wallets made the trades
  • Time window — how quickly they converged

Signal Strength

Multi-buy alerts are labeled by signal strength based on the number of converging wallets:

Wallets Signal Description
2 Moderate Two wallets agree — worth noting
3-4 Strong Clear consensus forming among multiple traders
5+ Very Strong Rare convergence — high conviction signal

Consensus

The real power of multi-buy alerts is consensus detection. When unrelated top traders independently reach the same conclusion, it's a meaningful signal that goes beyond any single trader's edge.

PRO Only
Multi-buy alerts are exclusive to PRO subscribers. On the Free tier, you'll still receive individual trade alerts for tracked wallets.

How Scoring Works

Every trade alert from a tracked wallet includes a confidence score — a 0-100 rating that reflects how likely the trade is to be profitable based on the trader's historical performance in similar markets.

The score is calculated using several factors:

  • Historical win rate — the trader's overall success rate on resolved positions.
  • Category performance — how well the trader performs in this specific market category (e.g., Politics vs. Sports).
  • Position sizing — larger positions relative to the trader's typical size suggest higher conviction.
  • Recency — recent performance is weighted more heavily than old results.
  • Volume context — traders with more history get more reliable scores.

Score Ranges

Score Label Meaning
80-100 High Confidence Strong historical edge in this type of market
60-79 Medium Confidence Decent track record, moderate expected edge
40-59 Low Confidence Limited history or mixed results in this category
0-39 Very Low New trader or poor category performance

Filtering by Score

PRO users can set a minimum confidence threshold for auto-copy. For example, you can configure auto-copy to only execute when the confidence score is above 70 — skipping low-conviction trades automatically.

This is especially useful when tracking many wallets at once. Rather than copying every trade, you let the confidence scoring system filter for the highest-quality signals.

Recommended Strategy
Start with a confidence threshold of 70+ and lower it if you're not getting enough trades. Combine with multi-buy alerts for the strongest possible signals.
